14th Jan 2009 - A Blog Revival?
Calling all Jubilate people! Remember the days when everyone blogged? I absolutely loved reading the debriefs after big events. And that's what it's all about, isn't it? Having your words heard by everyone else! So I'll go first. Check me out at: kurufurudo.blogspot.com And, if you want your blog publicised, drop a tag and let me know so I can include it in our list. Cheers, Cliff |

Christmas Midnight: This was an impromptu arrangement of this beautiful carol, done but a day before Christmas Eve. Kudos to Aloy and Josh for being super brave to take this on, last minute. =)

|
| All Man's Labour Can Produce |
|
Christmas Midnight: Old skool offertory hymn, Clifford's favorite. This was supposed to be combined with another song, but there wasn't a need - wasn't as packed as it usually is during Christmas Midnight. =(

| When A Child Is Born |
|
Christmas Midnight: Yet another impromptu solo, this time, from Steffi. Irene on the emotional soliloquy, and Steffi again on the ending.

Hi all, For those who have missed a rather fulfilling practice last Sunday, I'll rewind what was mentioned and need your fullest attention on this. Please spend a couple of mins reading this: We do not have much time left for 2 very impt upcoming mass. There will be a heavy load of hymns to practice for both mass. Keeping in mind the As and the Os exam people and of coz the rest who have their other final exams to deal with, I can't cancel practices unfortunately. Keeping in mind this, I need your FULL cooperation for practices from this week onwards and need everyone to be in your tiptop behaviour for us to have productive practices. (1) Confirmation Mass - 2 practices left ENT: Canticle of the Sun* OFF: I Offer my Life COM: Lamb of God, Holy One THK: Like a Shepherd REC: City of God* We went through impt parts for Canticle of the Sun already. The appointed section heads, please ensure all your members are aware of the parts/how to sing the verses/rhythm of the song for practice by this coming Sunday. I repeat - I CANNOT afford to waste time re-teaching during practice. Members who weren't present - please be 'automatic' and call up your section heads to find out what has happened BEFORE this Sunday. Sop: Andrea Alto: Irene Tenor: Aloy Bass: Zac (2) Dedication Mass (21st Oct) - 3 practices left It'll be a HUGE mass. Expect not just the Archbishop to be present but many other priests will be invited as well. And there are tooooo many new hymns to learn. Moreover, it'll be a combined choir effort, thus I need to speed things up within our choirs before I proceed to conduct combined practices in about 2 weeks time. I can't stress this enough but I need your fullest cooperation for the next 3 weeks. No more joking, no more fooling around during practice. I need your full concentration during practice. (3) Things to prepare for this coming Sunday: Bring a pen/pencil and a file. I'll distribute a number of scores this coming Sunday. (4) Mass this Sunday: We'll be using the projector system from this week onwards. We have yet to go through some hymns. Everyone, please be punctual at 9.20am in 3rd floor. From now till 21st Oct, we'll be having regular 10 minutes practice session with the congregation to familiarize all the tunes for the upcoming High Mass. ENT: From the Rising of the Sun OFF: We offer this Bread COM: Be not Afraid THK: He will Carry You REC: Pass It On (5) Some music scores for your reference. ![]()
