14th Jan 2009 - A Blog Revival?
Calling all Jubilate people! Remember the days when everyone blogged? I absolutely loved reading the debriefs after big events. And that's what it's all about, isn't it? Having your words heard by everyone else! So I'll go first. Check me out at: kurufurudo.blogspot.com And, if you want your blog publicised, drop a tag and let me know so I can include it in our list. Cheers, Cliff |

Christmas Midnight: This was an impromptu arrangement of this beautiful carol, done but a day before Christmas Eve. Kudos to Aloy and Josh for being super brave to take this on, last minute. =)

| All Man's Labour Can Produce |

Christmas Midnight: Old skool offertory hymn, Clifford's favorite. This was supposed to be combined with another song, but there wasn't a need - wasn't as packed as it usually is during Christmas Midnight. =(

| When A Child Is Born |
|
Christmas Midnight: Yet another impromptu solo, this time, from Steffi. Irene on the emotional soliloquy, and Steffi again on the ending.
|
| Hark The Herald Angels Sing |

(1) Choir Practice for Christmas Attendance for the above has been demoralizing. I have 21 people confirming their names for caroling and only 8 turned up today. I hate to be a nag and I'm fully aware I'm in no position to tell anyone what to do. I just hope ppl would realise we can't perform unless we practice. I can't have ppl not coming for practice and wanting to carol at the same time. (With the exception of those still having their exams / work obligations / family holidays of coz) We have 3 more practice to showtime. Hope things would pick up from this coming Sunday. (2) Carol Files There will be a new set of caroling files this year. New arrangements included. Pls pay $2.50 to Andrea by next Sunday and get your own files by next Sunday. (FYI: 50cents subsidized by our Choir fund. Original Price: $3 ($2.10 for file; $0.90 for lyrics) =) |

Hi everyone! Some housekeeping matters: (1) Caroling Dates Our caroling dates have been fixed - 22 & 23rd December. Please confirm your attendance on these dates, we need to finalize the total number of people joining us this year for caroling. We intend to charter a bus and we have to settle all the logistics/budget of it by end of this week. Leaders that were appointed today, please check with ALL your section members on their availability and drop a comment at the end of this post to finalize: Soprano - Andrea Alto - Verena Tenor - Aloy Bass - Daryl (2) Caroling Lyrics Cliff and I intend to recreate some of our repertoires this year. While waiting for us to consolidate, meanwhile, please bring along the old set of lyrics for your reference in the next practice. All old caroling files have been uploaded on the sidebar. Pls reprint if necessary. (3) Choir Outing @ East Coast Park We will be organizing a day out @ East Coast as a choir on 1 Dec (Sat). More details to be revealed as date draws nearer. Keep that day free for all of us. Tag if you have any questions AND tag to acknowledge this post. Much appreciated. |
