14th Jan 2009 - A Blog Revival?
Calling all Jubilate people! Remember the days when everyone blogged? I absolutely loved reading the debriefs after big events. And that's what it's all about, isn't it? Having your words heard by everyone else! So I'll go first. Check me out at: kurufurudo.blogspot.com And, if you want your blog publicised, drop a tag and let me know so I can include it in our list. Cheers, Cliff |

Christmas Midnight: This was an impromptu arrangement of this beautiful carol, done but a day before Christmas Eve. Kudos to Aloy and Josh for being super brave to take this on, last minute. =)

Christmas Midnight: Old skool offertory hymn, Clifford's favorite. This was supposed to be combined with another song, but there wasn't a need - wasn't as packed as it usually is during Christmas Midnight. =(

| When A Child Is Born |

Christmas Midnight: Yet another impromptu solo, this time, from Steffi. Irene on the emotional soliloquy, and Steffi again on the ending.

Hi all, Just wanted to leave a note of thanks and appreciation to each and everyone of you for your dedication and commitment, your endurance towards my otherwise unpredictable mood swings, your voices whom I know at least 60% of us lost it by the end of Christmas mass. Thanks for your willingness to come for practices after practices doing the same thing over and over just so we can get it all perfect. It's nice to see everyone bonding once again, in our 3 days of Caroling together. Our $210 spent on the bus charter was a gd investment after all. Hehe. I hope you feel it as much as I did, that all the hardwork put in has been all worthwhile. A few mentions here: Clifford - For your endless nights of preparing beautiful music arrangements for us, perfecting your music chords and getting high on hitting every right key, right strum... Yes, you are extremely talented and we all couldn't be more proud to have you accompanying us once again for Caroling. Don't leave. Daryl - Haven't apologized to you for my mistake made during the Celtic Alleluia and got you lost thanks to my confused expression. Ha. Glad you picked everything up nonethess and your Offertory hymn was beautiful. Thanks for your hardwork and willingness to support the choir with your music dedication all the time. Andrea - It's nice seeing you big-sister-ing the new ppl in the Choir and watching you take charge. Thanks for easing an otherwise tension-filled practices by giving all the support you could ever give to our forever-stressed team. Hehe. Andrew - For your efficient help in doing the slides for us, and changing most of them at the last minute. Nick, Na & the Starbucks boys - You know what you all did and I sincerely thank you for making that difference. Natalie, Yvette, Joshua, Aaron - Your presence has been a morale boost for us and I'm glad to see you enjoying yourself in the last 3 days of caroling. (I'm assuming you guys enjoyed it, right?) This is the Christmas high we get year after year and I'm glad that we are able to share this joy with all of you this year. To everyone - I hope you're proud of yourself over what happened in the past week or so. All those uncles and aunties who have been watching us 'perform' Christmas after Christmas, all couldn't resist telling me they have never heard us doing this so well b4. We were good, now - we're even better. Be proud, Jubilate! Here's to Christmas and Caroling 2007 - CHHEEEEEEEEEEEERS! |
